The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a physical assault from November 2022 that resulted in the death of 38-year-old victim Maurio Bailey. On Nov. 28, 2022, Bailey suffered injuries after a physical assault in the

5400 block of North Morgan St. and died on Jan. 2. The Medical Examiner’s Office has now determined the cause of death as stemming from physical in- juries sustained in the assault.
