According to ALXNow.com and the Alexandria Police Department, “a 52-year-old Alexandria man suffered minor injuries after being sprayed in the face with an unknown substance” around 2 a.m. on August 7 in Fairlington. The victim was attacked and then robbed. The victim was transported to the hospital.

APD updated their Twitter (known now as X) feed with a report of the incident occurring in the 3000 block of Park Center Drive.

This is still an active investigation and no arrests have been made. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the APD at 703-746-4444. Callers can remain anonymous.
