On Saturday, March 4 thousands will join to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of the oldest St. Patrick’s Day parade in the D.C. area. There will be a classic car show located on the 100 block of N. Pitt Street starting at 9 a.m. The parade kicks off at 12:15 p.m. at the corner of King and Alfred Streets. The Ballyshaners, Gaelic for ‘Old Towners,’ is a nonprofit organization that seeks to promote and preserve Irish heritage. Thousands of spectators and participants expected.
