A strong performance by the Alexandria Volleyball Club’s Titans 14 girls secured a Silver Medal at the “Kinetic Invitational” held Feb. 9 at the Washington Bible College in Lanham, Md. 
 
The Kinetic Invitational is a sanctioned tournament of the Chesapeake Regional Volleyball Association.  Alexandria’s Titans 14 is made up of local 7th and 8th grade students many of whom  look forward to bringing their athletic skills to TC Williams High School next year. 
 
Titans 14 is one of four junior olympic volleyball teams sponsored by the Alexandria Volleyball Club in collaboration with the Alexandria Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities.
 
Many of the players in Alexandria’s junior olympic volleyball program got their introduction to volleyball through the Department’s recreation program which is offered each fall.
