Susan Marshalls third solo offering is considered by many to be her best yet. The Memphis Flyer calls Susan Marshall the contemporary Memphis scenes most powerful and versatile pure singer. The album is a mix of four covers and five originals, all united by Marshalls electric vocals. It was recorded with Jeff Powell (who also has a long history with the Afghan Whigs) and features guest performances by Greg Dulli (on Lou Reeds Femme Fatale), Lucinda Williams (for a duet of Dont Let Me Down) and Al Greens sideman Teenie Hodges (on Oh My Soul ). The album opens with a cover of the Afghan Whigs Going to Town.
