The Zac Brown Band plays over 200 shows a year, and as one journalist put it, they might just be one of the hardest-working group of guys in the business.

Equal parts country, bluegrass, Southern rock, pop and reggae, the Zac Brown Band has a sound that rocks crowds everywhere it plays. The band can sound like Jimmy Buffett, Bob Marley, Robert Earl Keen and James Taylor, often within the course of two or three songs.

Zac Brown was a solo artist for several years with extensive flat-picking skills, an considerable playlist of originals and an encyclopedic knowledge of popular songs. He formed the current incarnation of the Zac Brown Band four years ago. Members of the band include bassist John Hopkins, fiddler Jimmy De Martini and more recent additions of guitarist/organist Coy Bowles and drummer Chris Fryar. In January of 2009, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Clay Cook joined the band; perhaps best known for his collaboration with Grammy-winner John Mayer, Cook rounds out the ZBB sound on guitar, vocals, organ, mandolin and pedal steel.

ZBB released its debut album, The Foundation on November 18, 2008 on Atlantic Records. The single Chicken Fried peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Chart and was the second most downloaded country single on iTunes shortly after its release.

The Zac Brown Band has recently opened for The Allman Brothers, B.B. King and Etta James.
