Principle Gallery presents the Washington Society of Landscape Painters.
The WSLP is one of the oldest active art organizations in the greater Washington area. It was founded in 1913, by Charles Seaton and Winfield Scott Clime, who began the society as a loose-knit group of artists called the “Ramblers,” painting on location continues to be the foundation on which its activities are based. The organization is now 104 years old.
On Friday, Oct. 21, 2018 the exhibition opens and we will be hosting an Opening Reception that evening from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The event is free and all are welcome. In addition, on Saturday, Oct. 22, some of the WSLP artists will be presenting Plein Air Demonstrations at Founder’s Park (weather permitting) beginning at 1 p.m.
