Briana Scurry — My Greatest Save – with Christine Brennan
Two-time Olympic gold medalist, World Cup champion, and Hall of Fame goalkeeper, Briana Scurry will be joined by the award-winning national sports columnist, Christine Brennan, at the Politics and Prose bookstore for an in-depth conversation and book signing of her upcoming memoir, My Greatest Save: The Brave, Barrier-Breaking Journey of a World Champion Goalkeeper.
Briana Scurry is widely recognized as one of the greatest goalkeepers in the history of women’s soccer and an extraordinary advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. But few know the full, inspirational scope of her story involving a traumatic brain injury pushing her to the brink of suicide.
As we celebrate Pride month and the 50th Anniversary of Title IX, Briana Scurry shares her deeply personal experiences with these issues and more for the first time.
Monday, June 25th, 5:00PM
Politics and Prose: 5015 Connecticut Ave NW Washington, DC 20008
