Come Play With Us!

Alexandria Citizens Band is recruiting new volunteer musicians in all instruments, and holding special Come Play With Us! rehearsals at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 6 or Friday, March 13. If you are interested in joining the band, please send an e-mail to AlexandriaCitizensBand@gmail.com.

Now in its 108th season, the band plays music people love to hear, and band members love to play – Broadway, movies, jazz, pop, marches, patriotic and classic band music. They have one of the largest music libraries of any community band in the country. The program is funded through a grant by the City of Alexandria, Office of the Arts’ Arts Grant Program.

If you haven’t played in a while – no problem – they’ll help you get your technique back. If you are taking music lessons as an adult, they’ll help you get better. If you are a high school student, or home schooled, it’s a great place to practice your art.

No auditions, just bring a music stand and your instrument. They rehearse at Del Ray United Methodist Church, 100 East Windsor Ave.
