Guest conductor Erin Freeman conducts the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic in its opening
concert of the 2022/2023 Season on October 16, 2022 at 3 pm at the George Washington Masonic Memorial Theater. Erin is one of four Music Director Finalists in Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic’s current Music Director search. This concert also features Meredith Riley, violin / Britton Riley, cello. The works to be performed are: Joel Thompson: An Act of Resistance (Winner of the 2017 Hermitage Prize); Brahms: Double Concerto in A minor, Op. 102; and
Daron Hagen: Moviola (based on Orson Welles 1938 silent film comedy Too Much Johnson).
