Happy Whatever Happens

April Thursday GP Series

Happy Whatever Happens

Each and every one of us has the capacity to keep a peaceful mind even when things go wrong.

Unfortunately, some mental habits, such as irritation and discouragement, can make us feel unhappy and stressed when facing difficulties.

In this series Gen Demo will explain how to gain the power to free ourselves from these negative emotions, and instead tap into our potential for happiness and joy using a special set of Buddhist teachings called ‘Lojong’ or training the mind.

April 21st – Choose peace – the role of acceptance in facing difficulties
April 28th – Giving Adversity Purpose – Using problems as purification

May 5th – Compassion & Wisdom – Developing Balanced Perspective
May 12th – Meditations that Heal – Taking and Giving part 1
May 19th – Meditations that Heal – Taking and Giving part 2
May 26th – Emptiness – Meditation on ultimate truth to transform adversity
