Memphis the Musical – Fundraiser Performance 7/24/24
A special performance of the Tony award-winning musical MEMPHIS on July 24 to benefit Alexandria Celebrates Women and the Alexandria Police Foundation. Based on the real-life story of Dewey Phillips, a white Disc Jockey with a penchant for black music, MEMPHIS is set in the 1950s and highlights the early struggle of black artists and their fight to be heard. Purchase individual tickets for $45 per person; or become a Friend of Alexandria Celebrates Women and the Alexandria Police Foundation for just $150 and receive two tickets. All funds raised will go to the Alexandria Domestic Violence Safehouse and to support Alexandria Police Officers.
