“Old Town North is a special community with so much to offer,” says Alexandria Mayor Justin Wilson. “The Taste of Old Town North is a great opportunity to showcase to others throughout Alexandria and the region, the vibrancy of the people and businesses here. I’m excited to be a part of it.”

The Taste of Old Town North is presented by the Old Town North Community Partnership with generous support from Carr Companies, the Old Town North Alliance, NOTICe, the City of Alexandria, the Montgomery Center, Hilco Redevelopment Partners, Marcy Covarrubias, Realtor @ Compass, and other local and regional businesses and non-profit organizations.
“We are pleased to support the Old Town North Community Partnership in our shared commitment to bring the arts and cultural district to life through live music and other events in Montgomery Park,” says Austin Flajser, President and CEO, Carr Companies.
“I first worked in OTN in the early 1990’s, and to see all the positive changes since then is remarkable,” says Bruce Machanic, owner of the Montgomery Center. “OTN has found a great mixed-use balance of residential, commercial office and retail, and cultural spaces. The best is right around the corner with so many new arts district-inspired developments coming online!”
“HRP is thrilled to participate in the Taste,” says Melissa Schrock, SVP of Mixed-Use Development at Hilco Redevelopment Partners, owner of the former Genon power plant. “It is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together to celebrate local businesses, arts and culture in the open air. We are excited to be a part of the OTN community and look forward to helping fulfill the vision of a dynamic arts and cultural district with a variety of offerings complemented by public parks and open spaces.”
