Darren Smith’s fractured and reconstructed photographic works make the literal abstract. Oenone Hammersley’s work depicts abstract water paintings in mixed media on canvas and wooden panels where she has perfected a unique method of hand painting with multiple paint pourings. These ‘pourings’ are the essence of water with most of the canvasses cut in irregular, naturalistic shapes.
