TICKETS ON SALE FEBRUARY 1 FOR OLD TOWN ALEXANDRIA’S HISTORIC GARDEN WEEK TOUR / Home and Garden Tour Showcases Graceful Gardens Bursting with Spring’s Bountiful Beauty

Alexandria, VA (Jan. 19, 2021)–Tickets for Old Town Alexandria’s annual Historic Garden Week (HGW) tour go on sale Feb. 1 at The Saturday, April 23 tour provides a unique opportunity to go behind the doors of Old Town’s most stunning and unique properties. The celebrated event draws more than 1,500 home and garden enthusiasts annually during the height of the spring blooming season.
Tickets include admission to five exclusive private homes and gardens and six nearby historic public properties, including: Carlyle House, Lee-Fendall House, River Farm, Gunston Hall, Mount Vernon and Green Spring Gardens. Complimentary refreshments will be available at Old Presbyterian Meeting House. Advance tickets are $55 online at and may be purchased tour day at the Alexandria Visitor’s Center at 221 King Street.
Organized by Hunting Creek Garden Club and the Garden Club of Alexandria, the tour is part of the Garden Club of Virginia’s (GCV) eight-day statewide event from April 23 to 30 which includes 128 private properties. Proceeds fund restoration and preservation of more than 39 Virginia historic public gardens and landscapes, a research fellowship program, and a GCV Centennial project with Virginia State Parks. The nation’s only statewide house and garden tour draws 26,000 annually and dates back to 1929.
