Tona Brown and Friends in Concert: An Afternoon of Schumann, Schubert, and Song

Join concert violinist, soprano, and director of Aida Strings, Tona Brown, and a quartet string ensemble composed of her fellow artists for a benefit concert of chamber music and song on Saturday, August 24th at 2p.m. in Alexandria, Virginia.

Enjoy a varied program of selections from several eras by the aforementioned composers, along with works by Handel, Mozart, Haydn, Puccini, and Chopin — plus operatic and art song solos like Rusalka’s “Song to the Moon” and Handel’s “Meine Seele hort im Sehen” featuring soprano Amy Gill. Following the performance, meet the artists during a post-concert reception.

Donations will be accepted at the door and online via Eventbrite, so please enter “Tona Brown” in the search bar and RSVP in advance. Venue has FREE, on-site parking.

Proceeds will benefit Tona’s youth music program, and a well-known local choir
