World Refugee Day Celebration

There are nearly 32.5 million refugees around the world.
Fewer than 1 percent are considered for resettlement and Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area (LSSNCA) and our local resettlement partners in Virgina are humbled to play a part in welcoming new neighbors! Join (LSSNCA) on June 9 to celebrate the tenacity and strength of refugees.
For refugees, reaching safety is just the start. People fleeing
war or persecution need opportunities to heal, learn, work,
and thrive. We’re grateful for our welcoming community in Virgina, Maryland and DC and want to celebrate World Refugee Day alongside our community and our new neighbors on June 9!
Together with our good neighbors and our local resettlement partners we support refugees’ right to seek safety, rebuild thriving lives, and be safely welcomed in their new communities. On June 9, LSSNCA along with Alexandria Country Day School, Catholic Charities Arlington, ECDC and IRC invite
you to celebrate World Refugee Day at Alexandria Country Day School
