Paws in the Park took place Sunday at Oronoco Bay Park, according to a press release from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria. AWLA brought adoptable dogs to the event and encouraged attendees to bring their own pets. The event also included food and beverage vendors, live music, a family fun tent with arts and crafts and an AWLA tent with a silent auction. The event featured a special costume contest open to everyone in attendance and included a prize.
