Police said they are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Wednesday afternoon at the Landmark TD Bank branch.

Around 1:55 p.m. a man entered the bank, located at 557 South Van Dorn Street, displayed a weapon and demanded money, the Alexandria Police Department said in a statement. A bank employee gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash at which point the suspect fled the scene.

Police said there were no injuries in connection with the incident. Investigators are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call the Criminal Investigations Section of APD at (703) 746-6711.
