An unidentified man threatened to shoot another man during a late-night confrontation outside of a 1400 block N. Beauregard St. restaurant July 4, authorities say.
    
The victim and a friend were standing outside of the restaurant about 11:20 p.m. talking when the suspect walked by with a woman, according to city police. The suspect then accused the victim of talking to the woman.
    
The suspect said he would shoot both of you, referring to the victim and his friend, before leaving on foot with the woman, said Ashley Hildebrandt, department spokeswoman. The victim alerted police soon after. 
    
He did not appear to be armed and remains at large, Hildebrandt said. The incident remains under investigation.
