Fabian Johnson, the man charged with the murder of city resident Bob Cory McNeely in October, is back in Alexandria awaiting trial.
Johnson allegedly shot McNeely not far from the 1200 block of Wythe St., where he collapsed at about 10:10 p.m. October 20. McNeely, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body, was later transported to Fairfax Inova but succumbed to his wounds.
Federal authorities took Johnson into custody in Cobb County, Ga., on November 3, according to officials with the local sheriff’s office. He was extradited back to Virginia and returned to Alexandria on Friday.
Johnson faces a first-degree murder charge and was arraigned in Alexandria District Court on Monday. His next court appearance is at 9 a.m. November 21.
