At approximately 12:03 a.m. on Wednesday the Alexandria Police Department responded to an emergency call according to Public Information Officer Marcel Bassett.

A male suspect entered the 7-11 at 800 Franklin St. and fired a single gunshot. He fled the scene after stealing an undisclosed amount of money from the store. No injuries were reported. This is an active investigation and any information should be shared with the APD at 703- 746-4444.
