A body was found submerged in the water near Holmes Run Park at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 22, according to the Alexandria Police Department.
Police stated on Twitter that a passerby spotted a male victim submerged in the water. The incident is now the subject of an APD sudden death investigation, with the cause of death to be determined by the Chief Medical Examiner’s office, according to APD.
