Leadership Alexandria, a program designed to teach executives from different cross-sections of the city how to become better leaders, graduated their inaugural class of 2010 last Thursday.
The nine-month program, which opened with a two-day retreat last September, closed with the graduating ceremony at the Crowne Plaza Alexandria.
The programs organizers led group activities among leaders from public, private, and the nonprofit communities. Participants are active in business, education, associations, the arts, religion, government, community-based organizations, and ethnic and minority groups, according to the programs description.
