Fresh goods straight from the farm are not just for lower King Street anymore.

The City of Alexandria and the Upper King Street Neighborhood Association said the Upper King Street Fresh Farmers Market will open on Wednesday, June 3 at 3 p.m.

The weekday farmers market in Historic Old Town Alexandria is located at the King Street Gardens Park, 1806 King St., a few steps from the King Street Metro Station.

The farmers market offers area residents and commuters the opportunity to shop for fresh, locally grown produce, meat, dairy and bakery items. It is a compliment to the weekend farmers markets at Market Square, The West End and Del Ray. The Upper King Street Fresh Farmers Market will be open Wednesdays from 3 to 7 p.m. through October 28.
