When he steps into the ring to face Vincent The Beast Batteast at the Patriot Center this Saturday, Brandon Quarles will no longer be an amateur boxer.

Quarles, 23, an Alexandria native and longtime boxer with the Alexandria Boxing Club at Charles Houston Recreation Center, debuts as a pro on the six-plus bout undercard for the Jimmy Lange-Jimmy LeBlanc junior middleweight fight. As an amateur readying for the citys Fall Brawl last year, Quarless amateur record stood at 40-10.

Quarless opponent for the four-round fight enters with a record of 1-2-1 and hails from Annapolis, Md. Tickets are available on ticketmaster.com or at the Patriot Center Box office at George Mason University.
