A 900 block Harrison Circle resident was forced to hide in her bathroom until city police arrived after an unknown intruder broke into her home earlier this month.
Authorities say the woman fled to the bathroom and called police as soon as she heard the suspect kick in her front door at about 9:51 p.m. October 7. She remained in hiding until officers arrived on scene and cleared the house.
The suspect left before authorities arrived and did not take anything. There was some damage to the front door, police said.
They do not know why the intruder targeted the house. There is no known connection between the victim and suspect, and the two never came face-to-face, said Ashley Hildebrandt, department spokeswoman.
The incident remains under investigation.
