A would-be burglar kicked in the door of an 1100 block N. Pitt St. home earlier this month, but appeared to get away without any loot, according to authorities.
    
An employee of the victim found the front door kicked down about 1:14 p.m., April 5, and contacted police. No one was home at the time and authorities dont know when the unsuccessful burglar struck the house. 
    
Police do not know what job the employee was performing for the homeowner.
