The City of Alexandria is calling for artists to design the Alexandria Police Memorial, which will be installed at the new Alexandria Police Department headquarters in the summer of 2011, tentatively.

The headquarters is currently under construction at 3534 Wheeler Ave.

Artists or design teams interested in responding to the RFQ are encouraged to register with the City of Alexandrias e-procure system at http://eprocure.alexandriava.gov/bso. Applications may be submitted online, by postal mail or in person. The deadline for applications is October 30, 2009 at 4 p.m. Three finalists will each receive an honorarium of $2,000 to submit a complete proposal.
