The article City Services Suffer as Budget Shortfall Reaches $10.5 Million that appeared in last weeks issue (Oct. 30) made an erroneous statement. It stated that the Alexandria Fire Department was not affected by the budget cuts. In fact, the Office of Building Code and Fire Administration, which is part of the Fire Department, took a 3.9 percent budget reduction and lost the equivalent of one full-time employee.
