Dig into archaeology in Alexandria

Always wanted to be an archaeologist but cant give up your day job? Do you watch the History Channel and imagine yourself excavating a real historic site? The Alexandria Archaeology Institute may be your calling.

The four-day learning opportunity in Alexandria is especially for adults and taught by city archaeologists. The first session will be held Thursday, June 10 through Sunday, June 13, and the second session will be Thursday, October 21 through Sunday, October 24. 
Daily training, activities and programs will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fieldwork will be conducted at historic Shuters Hill Plantation, an archaeological site on the grounds of the George Washington Masonic Memorial, Advance registration is required. 
Registration fee of $475 includes field equipment, morning coffee, box lunches and two receptions. The June session is filling quickly, so make your reservations now.
