A 100 block S. Iris St. resident returned home to find thieves had made off with a black push lawnmower left unattended in the backyard earlier this month.

Authorities don’t know the mower’s value but said the homeowner reported the theft at about 4:30 p.m. October 13. They do not have descriptions of the thieves.

No arrests have been made and the mower has not been recovered, said Ashley Hildebrandt, department spokeswoman, though the incident remains under investigation.
