The Alexandria Housing Development Corporation welcomed a new executive director, James A. Pritchett, last week.

Pritchett brings significant experience to the organization both as an administrator and as a housing advocate, having worked in the housing arena in Northern Virginia, Richmond and North Carolina.Most recently, he has run his own company, EQV Consulting, providing real estate and other consulting services to both non-profit and forprofit organizations. Prior to that, he was director of real estate development at the Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing, vice-president of housing development at Community Housing Partners Corporation, executive director of the Affordable Housing Group of North Carolina and director of housing at the Arc of North Carolina.

Pritchett is also a certified property manager and serves as the Northern Virginia representative to the Virginia Housing Coalitions board of directors. Born and raised in North Carolina, he graduated from Guilford College.
