Alexandrias 33rd Annual Memorial Day Jazz Fest is once again set for this months signature holiday and begins at 1 p.m. on May 31 at Fort Ward Park.

The festivities begin with the Jazz Ambassadors Dixieland Band of the U.S. Army Field Band and continues with the John Baione Trio, Al Williams, the Larry Brown Quintet and closes with a performance by the Kaleidoscope Orchestra at 5 p.m.

Food and beverages will be available for sale. Picnic meals are welcome and grills are available in the park at picnic sites. As a courtesy to others, organizers remind attendees that it is illegal to bring alcohol to city parks without a permit and asks to please leave pets at home.

In the event of inclement weather, the concert will relocate to the Lee Center at 1108 Jefferson St.
