Authorities arrested two on driving while intoxicated charges while running a sobriety checkpoint on the 5700 block of Duke St. over the weekend.
Six city police officers, two parking enforcement officers, one emergency communications technician and two sheriffs deputies manned the checkpoint from 10 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday. Vehicles were stopped and drivers checked for possible drug or alcohol use, police said.
Along with the two arrests, authorities handed out 13 summonses for miscellaneous traffic offenses.
