Students at T.C. Williams High School participated in Operation Gratitude, part of the National Day of Service on September 11, making T.C. the only Virginia school involved in the event hosted by Greater DC Cares.

During English classes at both the main and Minnie Howard campuses of T.C. Williams, students wrote Letters to Heroes, thankful expressions to be included in Operation Gratitude care packages for American troops deployed in hostile and remote regions of the world.
