A South Reynolds Street resident caught a burglar in the act and scared him off on April 5, police say. 
    
The suspect was attempting to get in through the front door when the resident returned to the apartment complex about 8:49 a.m. The suspect fled after catching sight of her, police said. 
    
Authorities do not believe the suspect is connected to any other burglaries in the area.
