Thieves struck a Forrestal Avenue homeowner on May 18, breaking into a van parked in the victims driveway and stealing an air compressor. 
    
Authorities dont know when the suspects struck, though the theft was reported about 5:33 p.m. The thieves broke the lock on the vans rear door to get inside, said Ashley Hildebrandt, department spokeswoman. 
    
They do not know how the thieves got through the lock or why the 5500 block homeowner had stored the air compressor in the van, she said. Authorities do not have any suspect descriptions.
