After giving two men a ride to the corner of North Pitt and Queen streets, a motorist found a knife pressed against his throat in the early morning hours of April 12.
Police say the men, described as black, in their early 20s and wearing black coats and pants, asked for a lift about 2:11 a.m. When the trio arrived, one of the men pulled a knife and held it to the drivers throat, demanding money.
They left on foot after the victim handed over his cash, police said. They do not know what kind of knife the robber wielded.
Authorities did not say where or why the suspects asked for a ride.
