After breaking into a 6000 block Lomack Court home, two men made off with a safe containing passports, birth certificates, insurance papers and the house deed June 23, police say.

A neighbor alerted authorities to the burglary after noticing the men acting suspiciously in the house next door about 1:39 p.m., according to police reports. The men left carrying a small box, later determined to be the victims safe.

The duo forced their way in through a patio window, said Ashley Hildebrandt, department spokeswoman. They remain at large, she said.
