Hundreds of spectators descended on Fort Ward Sunday afternoon to watch Revolutionary War buffs dressed in period garb duke it out for the future of America.
The reenactment, complete with cannon and muskets that crackled and boomed throughout the day, was part of the birthday celebration of Alexandria’s favorite son, George Washington.
