An Alexandria court has sentenced a former supervisor for a U.S. government agency to more than four years in prison for sexually abusing a teenage boy while on assignment in Ukraine.
Paul D. Guild, 65, of Silver Spring, MD., was a supervisor in Kiev for the U.S. Agency for International Development. Guild was convicted in January of one count of sexual abuse of a minor and two counts of assault.
On Friday, a judge in Alexandria’s Federal Court sentenced Guild to four years and three months in prison. Federal prosecutors in Alexandria alleged that Guild had sexually abused two teenage boys last summer while one of the boys was living in Guilds residence in Kiev.
A jury acquitted Guild on five other counts of sexual abuse, including all counts involving one of the two boys.
