The Department of Community and Human Services is looking for volunteers to take part in Holiday Sharing 2019, an annual program that provides gifts to low-income families, senior and disabled citizens and children in the foster care system.
Through DCHS, residents can sponsor wish lists in order to ensure all Alexandrians enjoy the holiday season, according to the city website.
Community volunteers help parents record their wish lists, which are composed of clothing, toys, books, grocery store gift cards and other items, according to DCHS’ online guidelines for givers.
