The Bishop Iretons girls soccer squad stared down two local competitors on the pitch in recent days, beating cross-town rivals Episcopal and St. Stephens and St. Agnes in back-to-back road outings.
The Cardinals waltzed onto Episcopals campus September 10 and came away with a 10-0 blowout. Senior Katrina Guillou found the net four times and teammate Karina Azar walked off the field with a hat trick under her belt.
Gabby Goddette, Anna Wissler and Emily Gupton also scored.
Three days later, Ireton took the field against St. Stephens and drilled in two goals to secure the win, putting them 2-0 on the season.
The Cardinals return home today to face Stone Ridge at 4 p.m. on Fannon Field.
