Congressman Moran to host a town hall discussion on the economy, its impact on Northern Virginia and what steps we need to take to strengthen it. Keynote speaker David Walker will provide his perspective on budgetary and economic issues as the former U.S.
Comptroller General, a position responsible for auditing the financial statements of the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Office of Management and Budget.
Mr. Walker became President of the Peter G. Peterson Foundation in March 2008, an organization founded by billionaire philanthropist Peter Peterson. Mr. Peterson established the foundation to tackle critical challenges threatening the nation’s well-being
including: large and growing budget deficits, dismal national and personal savings rates, and a ballooning national debt that endangers the viability of Social Security, Medicare, and our entire economy.
