The Carlyle Club at 411 John Carlyle Street will be hosting its first annual July 4th event in honor of Americas 232nd Birthday, with a grand affair including a three-course dinner and dancing to a world-renowned swing group, Doc Scantlin and His Imperial Palms Orchestra, while also raising money for the USO of Metropolitan Washington. Doc Scantlin will provide the musical entertainment, along with Chou-Chou and the Girlfriends breaking out the red, white and blue while singing patriotic and WWII favorites including Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Stars and Stripes Forever and many more. A special dedication to the troops will feature the anthem of each service branch. Individual tickets are $85 per person and in honor of Carlyle’s patriotic celebration, a 10% discount will be given to all active-duty and retired military personnel.
