Responding to an attempted larceny call, police officers arrested an 18-year-old local man for allegedly concealing a BB gun in his pants earlier this month. 
    
Officers arrived at the 3500 block of Wheeler Ave. for the attempted theft of a Moped at 2:31 a.m. and came across a familiar face, authorities said. Knowing the suspect not identified by authorities had an outstanding warrant, police began questioning him. 
    
The suspect gave authorities a false name, trying to avoid arrest, police said. During the subsequent body search, officers found a BB gun tucked into his waistband, police said.
