Those looking to shop local for the holidays this year are in luck. Made in ALX, a new makers’ market, launched on Monday and aims to support local artists, creators and makers by connecting them with consumers, according to a news release.
Made in ALX is available for virtual business through www.MadeinALX.com and launched with several local partnerships, including local watercolor artist Alexandra Schmeling, jeweler Bonny McMahon, designer Diana Papazian and Torpedo Factory artist Betsy Grady, according to the release.
More makers will be partnering with Made in ALX leading into the holiday season. The new makers market also plans to host several pop-up shops once it is safe to do so.
