Threatened with possible injury, an unidentified man evaded a would-be robber on foot during an after-dark confrontation earlier this month.
City police say the suspect, described as a black man in his early 20s, approached the victim on the 5500 block N. Morgan St. about 9:40 p.m. August 18. Implying he had a knife, the suspect demanded the victims wallet, threatening to stab him, according to police reports.
The victim refused and fled, said Ashley Hildebrandt, department spokeswoman. The attempted robbery remains under investigation.
