The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a shots fired incident that occurred near the Braddock Road Metro Station on Sunday night, according to a news release.

The incident occurred at the intersection of North West and Madison streets at 11:47 p.m. Police discovered a male victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the upper body. He was taken to George Washington University Hospital to receive medical care, according to the release.
